Lois R. Renfroe

Lois R. Renfroe, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 17, 2017. A Celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Ron Holland officiating.

Lois was the youngest of six daughters born near the town of Roberta where her family ran a general store. When she was six, her family moved to Macon, where she attended Alexander II elementary school, and graduated from AL Miller High School for Girls in 1943. She married Marvin Beryl Renfroe in 1952. They lived in Macon until 2008 when they moved to Marietta, Georgia to be close to their son and granddaughter.

Lois worked for AL Hatcher, Insurance Company of North America, Department of the Navy – Office of Personnel Management, and for Maxson Electronics Corp. until she retired in 1968.

She was a longtime member of Tattnall Square Baptist Church and subsequently Vineville Baptist Church in Macon.

She was preceded by her parents, Tom and Martha Roberts, sisters, Annie Mae (Joe) Meeks, Dora (William) Mosely, Myrtle (Tommy) Lewis, Veta (Frank) Cleveland, and Sarah (Jerry) Auer.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin Beryl Renfroe, son, Marvin Beryl (Elizabeth) Renfroe, and granddaughter, Mary Renfroe.
