A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday at Bellevue Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Duggan and Rev. Michael Blankenship officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 and burial will be private for family only in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Bellevue Baptist Church, Building Fund, 5925 Price Road, Macon 31220.
Mr. McElmurray was born in Lizella the son of the late Mary Bertha Harden McElmurray and Lovett Eugene McElmurray, Sr. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Melodee and Matthew Blankenship and two brothers, William and James McElmurray. Mr. McElmurray was retired from Armstrong World Industries after 35 years of service and was also a member of the National Guard.
Mr. McElmurray is survived by his wife, Sharon Long McElmurray of Macon; step-son, Michael Blankenship (Emily) of Cartersville; several nieces and nephews.
