Margaret B. Summerlin

Margaret B. Summerlin, 88, passed away on Friday, February 16, 2024. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Shelvie Summerlin officiating.

Margaret was born in Moultrie, Georgia to the late James William and Bunice Reeves Bell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Bertice Summerlin and her sister, Virginia Bell. Margaret retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base and later served as director of Sunshine Lane Daycare and a member of Parkway Assembly Church. She was an excellent seamstress, baker, caterer, gardener, and was an avid reader. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Summerlin (Bobby) McCarty of Winston Salem, NC, Doris Elaine (Ronald) Mitchell of Musella, GA, Pamela Summerlin (Mike) Estes of Canton, grandchildren, Krisiti (Stephen) Bracy, Jonathan (Terrah) McCarty, Matthew Mitchell, Seth (Allison) Mitchell, Jordan (Sara Kay) Corbitt, Conner (Mary) Corbitt, Caroline (Chad) Schaefer, John Michael (Kendall) Estes, Alli Estes, and Mark Estes, great grandchildren, Jacob Bracy, Lucian Bracy, Audrey Layne Bracy, Finn Bracy, Cannon Mitchell, Cooper Mitchell, Carson Mitchell, James Corbitt, Claire Corbitt, Sandi Grace Schaefer, and Sadie Brynn Schaefer, sisters, Delores Johnson and Mary Frances Trammel and her brother, Edward Bell and her beloved yorkie, Sophia.
