

Mary Colleen Favors, born April 23, 1931, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, a day that beautifully reflected her deep and unwavering Christian faith. A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Snow's at Macon Memorial Park with Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow the service at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.
Colleen was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and a woman whose life was deeply rooted in faith and family. She was married for 51 years to her beloved husband, Grady Favors, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her oldest son, Larry Favors, Sr., as well as her parents and her sisters.
Colleen dedicated 30 years of her life as a beautician, touching the lives of many through her work. She also spent 25 years as a nursery teacher for children ages 3 to 5 at Log Cabin Baptist Church, where she poured her heart into nurturing and guiding young lives with patience, kindness, and love.
Those who knew Colleen would describe her as one of the most faithful Christian women they had ever known. Her love for the Lord was evident in everything she did, and she lived her life as a reflection of that faith. She not only cared for others but also instilled in her family a strong work ethic—a value she lived out daily. Through her example, she taught her children and grandchildren the importance of dedication, perseverance, and doing everything with love and integrity—lessons that will continue to guide her family for generations to come.
In her final days, Colleen was lovingly cared for by her devoted daughter-in-law, Jean Favors, whose compassion and dedication meant so much to her and the entire family. She was also under the care of Heartland Hospice, where she was surrounded by kind and caring nurses who provided comfort, dignity, and peace.
She leaves behind a legacy of love through her family, including her son, Terry (Jean) Favors, as well as eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren—all of whom she loved fiercely and deeply.
