Mary Elizabeth Sanders, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 2, 2016. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home with the Reverend Benjamin Tolbert officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Sanders was born in Virginia to the late James Edward and Virgil Oliver Pullam. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Dorothy Jackson and several siblings. She was a member of Little Rogers C.M.E. Church. Mrs. Sanders was a homemaker and loved sewing, crocheting, cooking, and gardening.
Survivors include her son, Eligia (Donna) Allison; son-in-law, Willie Frank Jackson; grandchildren, Eligia Allison, Jr., Patrick Allison, Lynn (Charles) Ivey, Annette Fears, Gay (Keith) Wilson, and Regina Shelley; siblings, Pauline Towler and Shirley Watson; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
