Michael Aizet Gaston

Michael Aizet Gaston, son and father of 3, passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah, on Monday, July 26, 2021, at the age of 51 after injuries sustained in an accident. A Celebration of His Life will be held on Wednesday, August 11 at 1 o'clock, in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home, led by Pastor Justin M. Gaston. Family will greet friends for the hour prior to service. Burial will be private, in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.

Michael was born October 10, 1969 in Paterson, New Jersey to Annie Louise Powell and Michael Gaston. He worked for several years with Rug Doctor and was a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, in New Jersey. He loved numbers and was a brilliant mathematician, but Michael's greatest passion in life was his children and their success. Michael was preceded in death by his grandfather, Aizet Powell and grandmother, Woffie Collins- Gaston; uncles Tyrone Collins and Curtis Gaston.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Annie Louise Powell- Gaston; father, Michael Gaston; daughter, Samara Jennifer Howard; twin sons, Malik Aizet Gaston and Matthew Michael Gaston; sister, Nicole Gaston; grandmother, Louise Powell; aunts, Charlie Jewell Evans and Patricia Ann Powell; uncles, Dwight Gaston, Charles Gaston, Greggory Gaston, and Allen Ellison ; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
