After a wonderful life of 88 years, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Nellie Thompson Barberich entered into eternal peace on Thursday, April 5th, 2012. She was surrounded by family as she left her earthly home to join her beloved husband Mickie and to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The family is extremely grateful to the staffs of Morningside of Macon, The Oaks at Peake and Hospice of Central Georgia.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Macon Memorial Park with the Reverend Eugene Barlow officiating. Burial will follow in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9th, 2012.
She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph Austin Thompson and Sarah Wooten Thompson and her sisters and brothers- in-law Joella (Lee) Johnson, Edna (Bill) Greene, and Austine (Harold) Strong.
Memorial Gifts may be made to the American Heart Association, the Alzheimer’s Association, and Hospice of Central Georgia.
