Nicholas Blount

Nicholas "Big" Blount, 62, of Macon, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2024. A celebration of his vibrant life will take place on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snows at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Leroy Brock will officiate. The family invites friends to visit from 1:00 p.m. until the service begins on Wednesday.

Born and raised in Macon, Nick was the cherished son of the late Marie Delena Gracie Blount and Roger Lawson Blount Jr. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Angela Allen Blount, and his siblings, Tony Blount, Maurice Blount, and Patricia Blount.

Nick, affectionately known as "Big" to his kids and grandkids, was a larger-than-life presence with a heart as big as his personality. He was a pillar of strength and loyalty, always selflessly giving of himself and loving his family more than anything else in the world. His strength of will and unwavering devotion to those closest to him were hallmarks of his character.

As the owner and operator of Blount’s Commercial Kitchen Services in Macon, Big was known for his dedication and hard work. Outside of his professional life, he was a passionate outdoorsman who found joy in hunting, fishing, and tinkering with projects around the house.

He is survived by his children, Dennis Blount (Amanda) and Katie Johnson (Tyler); Father, Roger Lawson Blount Jr. his sister, Kelly Blount Wynne; his brother, David Blount; and his cherished grandchildren, Amden Blount, Avi Blount, Rylee Johnson, and Zoey Johnson. He is also remembered fondly by his mother-in-law, Patricia Allen; his sister-in-law, Laura Patterson (Kenny); and his nieces and nephews, Matthew Wynne, Rebecca Ruddick, Kristin Campbell.
