Dearest mom thank you so much for your love and devotion ... I thank you so much for how hard you fought to keep me alive in a blink of an eye I'll see you soon I know you are in Jesus's hands.

Treasured time spent together in the Keys. Sure are some of my favorite memories !  Thankful,  oh yes in deed !
I thank God for all of these !!!

Maxine, my oldest sister  (I'm the youngest of the family) lived approximately 10 to 15 miles from our childhood home. She was married before I was even born so her daughter's, being closer to my age, were my play mates when we visited. Being a young child I never equated distances in miles, so at that time I had no idea how far away she did live. One time, in first grade I do believe, our teacher asked how many of us had been to Florida and I raised my hand and said I had been there to visit my sister several times because she did live there later on. I didn't realize that she was just a stone's throw away. LOL I remember going to her house and she always had a meal on the table and we kids would play in the creek jumping off big rocks and having an absolute ball. I also remember their bed pushed against the wall and us running and diving headfirst and flippin our feet up over and onto the wall and doing handstands. I remember Maxine coming for visits after she truly did move to Florida and Georgia and bringing us wonderful peaches and Vidalia onions. The first time I visited Maxine in Georgia after many years had passed in our lives I was literally shocked when she opened the door and there stood our mother. OMG! She is the spitting image of our mom. I am so sorry I could not be  present for your celebration of life as I would love to have met  the rest of your family . Rest in peace sweet sister, love you!

You will always be "Mom" to me. Fifty years ago you married my dad and become a mother to me. Our long talks on the back porch, your sewing my military school uniforms, you always took a special interest in me, as you did all of your children. You gave me two more brothers and three sisters. Your love & strength stand through generations.

Always in my heart. And now eternally with our Heavenly Father.
