Peggy Joyce Willingham Smith, 70, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, October, 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Snow’s @ Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will greet friends on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jeff Powell, and Rev. Paul Meadows officiating.
Peggy was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Nolan and Margie Christine Brown Willingham. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Peggy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the love and care given to Mrs. Peggy during her time with Enhabit Hospice Care.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Lane Smith (Smitty) , children, Amanda Cherr (Shane) Stewart, Harley C. Smith, grandchildren, Coty (Bethany) Collins, Kayla Stewart (Dakota), Zachary Stewart, four great grandchildren, Peyton Collins, Mallorie Collins, Carson Mimbs, and Anna-Grace Stewart, brother, Ray Willingham, sister, Carolyn (Graylyn) Davis and several nieces and nephews.
