Visitation will be held at Snow's Funerals & Cremations at Macon Memorial Park, 3969 Mercer University Drive, Macon, Georgia 31204, on May 26, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by A Celebration of Her Life at the same location on May 26, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Pastor Victor Vaughn will officiate. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
Rachel was born in Hampton, Georgia the daughter of the late Mary Mitchell Ard and Jim Ard. She was retired from Keebler Company after 43 years of service with them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Gossett, her sister, Frances McDaniel, brothers, James Gresham, Artis Ard, and Jack Ard and children, Carl Daniel Gossett, Dorothy Stanovich, and Andrew Jeffrey Gossett.
Rachel is survived by her children, Sherry G. Garza (Bob) of Monroe County and William Berry Gossett (Elaine) of Monroe County; sister, MaryAnne Garrett (Sonny) of Dahlonega, GA; grandchildren, Amanda Holloway (Jeff) of Monticello, Zachary Gossett (Ansleigh) of Monroe County, Melissa Jones (Michael) of Byron, Brandi Byron (Will) of Macon, Cory Gossett of Macon; step-grandchildren, Bobby Garza (Erin) of Winchester, VA, Stephanie Bonaparte (Mark) of Ogdensburg, NJ, Lisa Werdann (Vinny) of Ordensburg, NJ, John Garza (Katie) of Blairstown, NJ; 13 great-grandchildren.
