Macon, Ga – Robert Ellis “Bo” Heath, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2010. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday, April 23, 2010 at 12:00 PM. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 PM.
Mr. Heath was born in 1922 to the late John Robert Heath and Bedie Arnold Heath. He served in the United States Army during World War II where he fought in the European Theatre and earned a Purple Heart as a Corporal. Mr. Heath was retired from Robins Air Force Base as an Aircraft mechanic. He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Heath, a sister, Dessie Hancock and a grandson, Sterling Nobles.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel P. Heath of Forsyth; three sons, David Robert Heath of Juliette, Ronald Heath, Sr. of Macon, and Kenneth (Jan) Heath, Sr. of Gray; two daughters, Frances Cooper of McDonough and Cheryl (Joe) Swafford of Forsyth; a sister, Agnes Collins; eleven grandchildren, William Kip Heath, Tony Renfroe, Darlene Parten, Susie Stewart, Donald Renfroe, Brinson Cooper, Sonya E’Dalgo, Kenneth Heath, Jr., Christy Harris, Ronald Heath, Jr. and Alicia Nobles; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren also survive.
