Robert Lee Stephens

Robert L. Stephens, 81, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018 surrounded by his family. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Minton officiating. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 5201 Blue Lagoon Dr., #650, Miami, FL 33126.

Robert was born in Stephens, GA to the late Depear Stephens and Roxie Ann Kidd Stephens. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jimmy Stephens, Jack Stephens, Bobby Stephens, Geneva Stephens and Roxie Kimsey. Robert served in the United States Marine Corp. and was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of Big Buck Hunting Club and the VFW.

He is survived by his wife, Mary O. Stephens of Byron, children, Derrick (Debra) Stephens of Byron, Desiree (Mike) Murray of Byron, grandchildren, Todd (Myranda) Stephens, Brandi (Michael) Williams, Bradley (Rachel) Murray, Kyle (Shannon) Murray, Travis Prater, Erin Prater, great grandchildren, Jasmine, Ashley, Michael Keith Williams, Elodie Stephens and Kylan Cooper, Kylee and Cameron Murray, Lilli Baker and Clayton Baker and several nieces and nephews.
