A Celebration of her life will be held Monday, March 30, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. in Macon Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow the service.
The family thanks you for thinking of us, it really means a lot. Because of allergies, flowers aren't the best option. A plant or a contribution would be more helpful during this time. We truly appreciate you.
Rosa was a devoted Christian who lived her life rooted in faith, trusting fully in God’s provision through every season. Guided by the promise found in Matthew 6:28–30, she carried a quiet strength and unwavering belief that God would always provide, just as He cares for the lilies of the field.
She embraced each role in her life with love and purpose as a daughter, sister, niece, cousin, friend, aunt, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She valued family, community, and connection, always giving of herself through service.
Rosa dedicated part of her life to working in the two public school systems in Jefferson County, Louisville, Kentucky, and Houston County, Warner Robins, Georgia. She believed it takes a village to build a strong community and found great fulfillment in supporting and working with children.
She enjoyed traveling and exploring new places. At home, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures, including finding a good sale, thrifting, and creating meaningful projects. She was a woman who found beauty in the everyday.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn C. Hardin and Arthur R. Hardin, and her brothers, Arthur Hardin, Jr. and Ronald Hardin.
She was previously married to James and later continued her life devoted to her family.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Faith-Ann Dargan, Amanda Dargan, and Anthony Dargan (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Brendan Dargan (Brendaly), Bryston Johnson, Mya Dargan, Camryn Dargan, and Bear Dargan; her great-grandchildren, Jah’meire Luciano-Dargan, Katalina Luciano-Dargan, and Khalil Luciano-Dargan; her brothers, Bernard Hardin (Emma) and Victor Hardin (“T”), and her sister-in-law, Lorraine Hardin; along with her nieces and nephews, Laura Ernst (Brian), Nicole Hardin, Arthur Owens (Donnetta), Elijah Ernst, and Daniel Ernst, and a host of extended family and friends.
Rosa loved her family deeply and had a special place in her heart for animals, especially the many pets she cared for throughout her life, including her own and those of her family.
She lived her life trusting in the promise of the lilies, resting in the care of her Heavenly Father.
