Ruby Genelle Johnson

Ruby Genelle “Maw Maw” “GrandMa” Bugg Johnson, 99, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 20, 2025. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Jeremy Singletary officiating. The family will greet friends from 2:00 p.m. to service time at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Gateway Fellowship Church, 6531 Skipper Road, Macon GA 31216.

Genelle was born in Augusta, Georgia to the late Thomas Jones Bugg, Sr. and Ruby Jane Ellis Bugg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaines Johnson, daughter, Martha Skinner, grandson, Rick Skinner, siblings, Margaret Adams, Virginia Rozier, Ann Hammett, Thomas J. Bugg, Jr., Julian Bugg, Rose Bud Tebow and Alan Bugg. Genelle attended Gateway Fellowship Church, and she loved God, family and her flowers. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and aunt.

She is survived by her daughters, Shirley (Mike) Flanders of Lizella, Connie (David) Hayslip of Lizella, Betty Kockentiet of Macon, son-in-law, Bobby Skinner of Knoxville, grandchildren, Debbie (Tony) Stephens, Jay (Stephanie) Hardy, Mark (Jill) Flanders, Amy Flanders, Joey (Robin) Skinner, David Richard Hayslip, Jr., Margaret Dawn (Keith) Waits and Bradley Lundy, twenty-two great grandchildren, seventeen great great grandchildren, siblings, Roger Bugg, Sterling Bugg, Kitty Bugg, Lacey Wilbanks and Stanley Bugg and numerous nieces and nephews.
