Ruth Joiner Hamilton Vickers, 92, passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in Gray Memorial Gardens @ Cedar Ridge, 111 Greene Settlement Road, Gray Georgia with the Rev. Paul Dziadul officiating.
Ruth was born in Adel, Georgia to the late Larkin Joiner, Sr., and Nancy Irene Ray Joiner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Glenn Vickers and Arthur Julian Hamilton the father of her children, her children, Edith G. Hamilton, Larue Hamilton, Brenda J. Hamilton Norrell, and Michael David Hamilton. Ruth was retired from Kroger and a member of the Pentecostal faith. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
She is survived by children, Stanley K. (Peggy) Hamilton of Byron, Janice Hamilton (John) Bredfeldt of Dawsonville, and Elizabeth Hamilton (Michael) Taylor of Macon, ten grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.
