Shirley Pelt Kidd, 75, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Herschel Sizemore officiating. The family will greet friends on Monday, October 15, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kidd was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late James Roy and Emma Meadows Pelt. She was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Kidd, and nine siblings. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church. Mrs. Kidd was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt.
She is survived by her two sons, Phillip (Jodie) Hartman of Macon, Terry (Cathy) Hartman of Warner Robins, four grandchildren, Samantha and Sabrina Hartman, Christopher and Phillip Hartman, two great grandchildren, sister, Janie (Jim) Ryals of Macon, six brothers, Freddie (Sharon) Pelt, Carl (Paula) Pelt, Danny (Neva) Pelt, Randy (Cookie) Pelt, Ricky Pelt, Mark (Becky) Pelt and numerous nieces and nephews.
