Teresa O’Bryant Stuart, age 82, passed peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on December 29, 2024, in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Snows Macon Memorial Park with Reverend Baxter Hurley officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Gerald C. Stuart of Sandy Springs, GA and her daughters, Kay Stuart Veal (Jim) of Greensboro, GA and Kim Stuart Petty (Cal) of Brookhaven, GA: grandchildren Sara Kay (Jordan), Stuart (Katharine), J.C. (fiance Briana), and Ben, and four great-grandchildren, James, Claire, Sidney, and Mac. She is survived by three siblings, Madilyn Turner, Patsy Sparks (Glenn), and Paul O’Bryant, Jr. all of Tuscaloosa, AL.
She was a loving, kind, devoted wife, mother, and friend to many and will be missed dearly. She was an active member of Forest Hills Church and a beloved member of the Seekers Sunday School Class, a Stephen Minister, and Backpack Ministry volunteer. She attended the University of Alabama and retired after spending 30 years with the Bibb County Board of Education. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Veal, Cal Petty, Stuart Veal, J.C. Petty, Ben Petty, Jordan Corbitt and members of Forest Hills Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
