Theodore Harold Gross (known as Lover & Teddy), son of the late Charles Butler and Lillian Gross-Crowford, was born on January 19, 1947. He departed this life early Wednesday morning February 21, 2018,
He received his education in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a graduate student of Patterson High School the year 1964. A short time after graduating high school he enlisted in the United States Army. While in the Army he traveled to many places, West Germany, Vietnam, Korea, Texas, Virginia, Fort Dix New Jersey, Aberdeen, MD, California to name a few. After serving 21 years he retired and a year after retirement he was employed by Social Security Administration as a Lead Forman, he was dedicated to public service and his job duties while there through his commitment and contributions he helped make a profound difference in the lives of millions of Americans.
He retired after working there for 23 years. Teddy/Lover and his wife went on several cruises and trips to Las Vegas, Nigari Falls, he was a stay at home type of person, but his wife kept him going so he would stay in touch with family and friends and not be to himself so much. He loved his alone time.
Teddy/Lover, was a sports fanatic. He watched every sport there was on television and all the old
shows, like Raffle Man, Andy Griffin, the Long Ranger, and Historic events and shows. He was smart as a whip, I think that runs in the family. He was very well liked and loved by a host of friends and co-workers throughout his life. But at the same time, he was a private man, there are still some things I don’t know after being married to him for many years!
He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife Luan Danzy-Gross(BKA- Kim), five sons , Joshua T.T. Gross of the home, Jesse D. Crowder, (Jennifer) Macon, GA, Antonio D. Crowder, (Pubelo, CO), Theodore Gross Jr (Toya) of Baltimore, Robert Gross (Veronica) of Baltimore, one daughter, Latosha Gross, of Pennsylvania, 19 grandchildren, Javon, Kavon, Shayleese, Antonio, Markel, Peyton, Tyren, Tavon, Taniya, Kasean, Karon, Schawantay, Marquise, (4 for his daughter) and two step grandchildren, Alex and Abby, god-Daughter, Teayna Washington-Cephas, one sister, Phyllis Goods (of Baltimore, MD), mother -in-Law, Jannie B. Miller (of Kershaw, SC), one brother-in-Law, Wayne J. Miller (Linda) of Kershaw, SC, two sisters proceeded in death Agnes Crawford and Earline Thompson and brother Tyrone Gross. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too many to mention, but do know he loved you all in his own special way.
