Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Dr. Brad Marchman officiating. Born Pricilla Louise Brown in Mobile, Alabama to the late Charles Brown and Thelma Harbin Brown. She was nicknamed “Tillie” by her Aunt Abner when her father and Uncle Johnny were stationed abroad during WWII. Tillie grew up in Macon and was a 1961 graduate of McEvoy High School where she was active in many clubs and activities serving for a year as sports editor of the Bonny Blueprint. She was known for her sweetness and charm and was as accomplished water skier.

She met her husband Mac on a blind date, and they were married two weeks after her high school graduation. Of his wife Mac said, “She had the purest heart of anyone I’ve ever known.” Tillie was a homemaker and drove a school bus when her children were young. Once they were all in school, she enrolled at what was then Macon Junior College, and became a Registered Nurse. She had a long career serving and caring for others in the Macon and Middle Georgia area.

It was said of Tillie by one of her children, “If there was a motherhood hall of fame, she would be inducted her first year of eligibility by unanimous vote.” It was her greatest desire that her children and grandchildren follow Christ and she was a faithful intercessor on their behalf.

It was her joy to love and serve the Lord. She was a Sunday school teacher, and mentored many young women over the years. One of her great goals was to become a published author and she reached that goal in 2011 with the publication of her memoir, “The Making of a Perfect Heart.”

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Bryon Marchman, sons, Barry Marchman and Brad Marchman, daughter, Angela Abide, son and daughter-in-laws, George Abide, Evelyn Marchman, and Casey Marchman, and grandchildren; Jonathan Marchman, Michael Abide, Brady Marchman, Andrew Marchman, Griffin Marchman, Rachel Marchman, Garrison Abide, Matthew Marchman, Mary Beth Marchman, Chloe Marchman, Edward Abide, Abigail Marchman, and Naomi Marchman. Her family will miss her terribly but rejoice with her to be reunited with her son, David Jonathan, granddaughter, Grace, her precious Grandma Kitty and her beloved parents. Above all, we take comfort in the thought of her radiant smile as she ran into the arms of Jesus; home at last.

To all of the Marchman family, I have so many wonderful memories of Tillie during our growing up years at Mikado. What a wonderful role model she was for us girls who wanted to be Godly women like her!
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

Years ago Mrs. Tillie enlisted herself as an intercessor to the Father on my behalf and was faithful to that for years, which is more than I could have asked for. I'm certain it's in part due to her backstock of prayers that I recently made my way back to God. I will never forget her kindness and generosity. She's an angel.
