Timothy Alan Newsome, Sr., 61, died Saturday, April 25, 2015 at his residence. A celebration of his life will be held Friday, May 1, 2015 at 12 noon at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Log Cabin Drive. Burial will be private. The family will greet friends Thursday night from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mr. Newsome was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Robert and Lillie Mae Denham Newsome and was preceded in death by his daughter, Priscilla Newsome. He was employed by Graphic Packaging for 39 years. Mr. Newsome was a member of the Log Cabin Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed gardening, mechanical work, boxing, and vacationing, especially to the beach.
Mr. Newsome is survived by his wife, Dorothy Newsome; five children; 14 grandchildren; sister, Linda Staples; and brother, Mark Newsome.
