Virginia C. Dudley, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 15, 2022. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Benny Tate officiating. The family will greet friends from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Methodist Home for Children, 304 Pierce Ave., Macon GA 31204.
Virginia was born in White, Georgia to the late Douglas Walter and Leola Wallace Bryan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis E. Dudley; daughter, Mary Pope; four sisters; and one brother. Virginia was a member of the former Southside Methodist Church and Bloomfield Methodist Church. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and aunt.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Banknell of Gray; son, Doug (Marie) Dudley of Griffin; grandchildren, Bryan (Gina) Banknell, Misty Banknell, Heather (JJ) Ingram, Stephen (Jessica) Dudley, Kathy Burdge Hall and Cliff Hammock; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
