

Vontyne (Tena) Williams Dominy, 75 of Macon, Georgia passed away Thursday, January, 29, 2026. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 3, 2026 in the chapel of Snow's at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 PM on Tuesday. Rev. Jeremy Wilson will officiate. The family would like to thank all of her caregivers for their love and support. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Meals on Wheels, 1212 Gray Highway #E, Macon 31211or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741. Following the service, friends are invited back to the residence for a meal.
Born in Macon, Georgia, where she was the wife for 43 years to her loving husband James L. Dominy. Sister of Robert Gary Williams (Amy). She was preceded in death by her father William Porter Williams, mother Elvie Harper Williams and sister Mary Pam Merwin.
She is a graduate of A.L. Miller High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Middle Georgia College and her Masters from the University of Georgia. Mrs. Tena was a math instructor and guidance counselor at Jonesco Academy Gray, GA. She retired from Warner Robins Air Force Base after 30 years of service as the Communications Directorate. She received the award for Meritorious Civilian Service 1987-1990. She was also an active member of Northway Church of Macon, Georgia.
Beyond her professional accomplishments she volunteered for the American Cancer Society, where she served as the Chair for Relay for Life and Chair of the Pink Ribbon Tournament. She also volunteered countless hours delivering meals for Meals on Wheels of Middle Georgia.
She was a member of Riverside Golf and Country Club and loved nothing better than spending a Saturday playing golf with her lifelong friends. She was former president and active board member of the Riverside Ladies Golf Association. Spearheading the ACS Pink Ribbon Golf Tournament at the Local and District Level was one of her many passions. She loved fishing with her husband, a pastime that brought her peace and happiness. She especially enjoyed beach trips and traveling, creating memories filled with laughter, love, and togetherness that will be treasured forever.
She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, James L. Dominy; her daughter in love, Selena G. Collins; her brother, Robert Gary Williams; Sister in Law, Amy Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends & colleagues.
Snow's at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
