Charles Wayne Axton, Sr., 64, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2013. Funeral services and a celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Avondale Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery with the Rev. Alesia O’Reilly officiating. The family will meet friends on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Macon GA 31201.
Mr. Axton was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Delmar and Helen Jackson Axton. He was a self-employed home builder for many years and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Axton was a Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his children, Wayne Axton, Jr. (Dixie) of Lizella, Paige Agisotelis (Chris) of Cumming, and Amy Woodall (Shane) of Macon, seven grandchildren, Chase Agisotelis, Aubrey Axton, Tyler Woodall, Cole Agisotelis, Carly Woodall, Cierra Agisotelis and Jake Axton, brother, Delmar Axton (Beverly) of Byron and several nieces and nephews.
