William H. “Billy” Pruitt, 72, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 surrounded by his family. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Grady Mimbs officiating. A visitation and reception will be held Thursday, August 27, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Pruitt was born in Macon, Georgia to the late Noman Allen and Ruby Estelle Collins Pruitt. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Zack Pruitt and two sisters. Billy was retired from Keebler Company after forty years of service. He was a member of North Ridge Baptist Church and was a member of the Circle of Faith Sunday School Class. He loved coaching midget football and baseball for many years. Billy was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty two years, Linda Pruitt, two children, Lisa (Mike) Fordham, Bill (Tammy) Pruitt, three granddaughters, Kaylee Pruitt, Sarah Fordham, and Hannah Fordham, three brothers, Buddy Pruitt, Carl Pruett, Larry Pruett and numerous nieces and nephews.
