On Monday, April 2, 2018 Bill / Buddy Sanders as he was called by family entered into the arms of his Lord. A Celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Harold Hatton officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Serenity Hospice, 1057 N. Houston Road, Warner Robins, GA 31093.
Bill was born on August 31, 1938 in Pike County, Alabama in the small town of Troy. Bill served in the United States Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps during the Bay of Pigs. He was previously employed at Continental Foods. Bill loved children and animals very much and was a caring man. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Joel D. Sanders, brother, Alvin Sanders, sister, Joyce Sanders Wooden, great granddaughter, Valentine Lampe and great grandson, Adonis Lampe, step-son, Bryan Davis and step granddaughter, Sydney Elizabeth Davis.
He is survived by his wife of twenty two years, Teresa Bearden Sanders, daughter, Kelley Sanders (John) Lampe, grandsons, Trevor and Dmitry Lampe, granddaughters, Halie and Mikhala, great grandchildren, Emi Gibson and Kallie Jackson, half-brother, Virgil (Dorothy) Henley, sisters-in-laws, Deborah (Donald) Wright, Sandra (Mark) Salasky and brother-in-law, Verlin (Diane) Bearden, step-son, Scott (Gina) Davis, step-grandchildren, Anna, Aaron and Amanda Davis and several nieces and nephews, and pets, Zeva, Pete and Scarlett.
