Dr. Ailish M. Hayes

Ailish Hayes, MD passed away peacefully at her home “Seascape”, Marblehead, Massachusetts after a long valiant battle with Kidney Cancer on Wednesday, November 4, 2009. She was 58 years old.She is deeply missed by her beloved Robert W. Dine, her mother Chris, brother Garrett, sister-in-law Siobhan, sisters Maeliosa and Christine and brother-in-law Damien Rutledge and nieces, nephews and cousins. Also deeply regretted by her beloved friends, colleagues and patients.Born in Ireland, Ailish followed her family tradition of medicine and attended medical school in Ireland. She did post graduate pediatric training in Toronto and Montreal before moving to Harvard Medical School in Boston where she pursued a rewarding academic career, specializing in Neonatology and Genetics. For the past fifteen years she was dedicated to her primary care pediatric practice at Revere-Winthrop Pediatrics.Ailish lived and loved life to the fullest and drew much joy from friends and family around the world who touched her life.She was predeceased by her father, Richard Hayes.A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, 85 Atlantic Avenue, Marblehead, MA at 11:00am on Monday, November 9, 2009In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Attn: Kris Laping, 330 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215.
