

Ann Ranger Bergstrom passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on November 5, 2014. She resided at Sunrise at Gardner Park in Peabody, Ma. previously of Marblehead and South Orleans, Ma. Daughter of the late Casper Ranger II and Alice Winslow Warfield. Born On May 26,1931 in Holyoke, Ma. As a young girl she lived in Ashburnham, Ma. Brookline, Ma. and South Orleans,Ma.
She graduated from Rider College in 1952 with a BS degree in Executive Secretarial and went to work for WEEI CBS Radio Station after that she worked for Hoag & Provandie an advertising company that provided newspapers across the country with advertisements inserts and The Wishnow Group.
She moved to Marblehead, Ma. In 1957 after her marriage to Richard W. Bergstrom Jr. where she became very involved in the community and later on opened a secretarial business out of her home, known as ARB Secretariat.
She worked for the Marblehead Community Counseling Center, Marblehead Drug Committee, Marblehead Chapter- MACLD, Central P.T.A. Council of Marblehead, and the Clifton Heights Improvement Association.
She was known as the mother that would be right there to help, whomever needed help getting their skates on plus having a roaring fire going in the fireplace with hot cocoa to warm up all her kids, their friends and neighbor’s as well after a cold day or night of skating. Her home was a welcoming place. She was known for producing many resumes, amongst other things for family and friends. She was also the family’s ancestral historian.
A day will not go by without family and friends thinking of her as she will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her children, Richard W. Bergstrom III of Hawaii, Joseph K. and Janet Bergstrom of Peabody, Ma. Ann B. LaBonte and husband Peter J. of Middleton, Ma. and Miriam (Mimi) C. Bergstrom of Hawaii.
Her grandchildren Krystle A. (LaBonte) and husband Christopher E. Parkes, Kenneth M. Bergstrom, Jerimiah J. and wife Katrina Freund Bergstrom, Clairemarie Bergstrom, Erin E. Bergstrom, Richard W. Bergstrom VI, Peter J.(PJ) LaBonte II, Benjamin W. Bergstrom and her great-grandson Jayven Kaulana Kamakaiwi who shared her birthday.
Also her brother Joseph and wife Kathleen Ranger of Hong Kong, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Richard W. Bergstrom Jr., her sister Alice R. Mensel and her Brother and wife Casper & Jeanne E. Newell Ranger III.
The Family would like to publicly thank the entire Sunrise at Gardner park team for the superb personal and loving care they gave her, and at the end the caring staff at Care Dementions of Danvers, Ma.
Her Memorial Service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation Of Marblehead, 28 Mugford St. Marblehead, Ma. 01945 on Sunday, December 14, 2014 at 2pm.
In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or The Cancer Society.
