Born in Danvers, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Madge (Gates) Fleet. She grew up in Danvers and lived in Marblehead for the last 49 years.
Dot was a supervisor for many years at the Salem Laundry and retired in 1998.
She loved spending time with her family, and loved to go camping and shopping.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her children Robyn Foss and the late Elliott Foss, Sr. of Athol, Marianne Weeks and her husband Bob of Hampton, NH, and John Goodwin of Marblehead, her sisters Evelyn Washburne and her husband Bill of Danvers and Pamela Hoffman of Salem, 8 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters, and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Thursday at Noon, followed by a Graveside Service at Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead at 1:00 PM. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street, Framingham 01701.
