Elaine M. Hastings, 90, a resident of Ft. Myers Beach, FL for 31 years, formerly of Swampscott, passed away on June 12, 2012. Raised and educated in Swampscott, she was a graduate of Swampscott High School, class of 1938. She also attended the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, and the Traphagen School of Fashion and Design in New York City. Elaine was a prominent classical concert pianist.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 70 years, Stanley; two sons, Charles of Michigan, and Robert of Switzerland; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter. A graveside service will be held in Waterside Cemetery, 294 West Shore Drive, Marblehead on Thursday, July 12 at 11AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
