Elizabeth Jackson Lovely

Born in Winston-Salem, NC, she was the daughter of the late John and Grace (Akenson) Jackson. She graduated from Dedham High School, Salem State College, and then from Boston University where she received a Master’s degree. She lived in Marblehead for 20 years, in Wellfleet for 30 years and in Peabody for the past 6 years.

She taught at Swampscott High School for many years and retired in 1977.

She was a member of the Wellfleet Congregational Church. She was also an avid gardener and reader.

She leaves three sons Stephen C. Lovely and his wife Susan of Celebration, FL, John D. Lovely of Kingston, and Andrew G. Lovely and his wife Laura of Marblehead, a sister Mary-Ann Fraser of Salem, a brother Richard R. Jackson of Swampscott, 5 grandchildren Ned, Jill, Peter, Ann and Karen, and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Grace Bednarz and John D. Jackson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 3rd at 1:30 PM in the Chapel at Brooksby Village, Peabody. Memorial Donations may be made to the Wellfleet Congregational Church, 200 Main Street, Wellfleet, MA 02667.
