Elizabeth Jean (Hardwick) Mace, 79, formerly a longtime resident of Marblehead, passed away at Hathorne Hill Healthcare in Danvers on October 26, 2019. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond F. Mace, Jr. with whom she shared 30 years of marriage. Born in Marblehead she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Eva M. (Henderson) Hardwick. She was a graduate of Marblehead High, Class of 1957. She worked at Sylvania in Salem, MA and as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Shaughnessy-Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital for many years.

Elizabeth was the mother of James Cunha and his wife, Nancy, Donald Cunha, Jr. and his wife Cheryl, and Joanne Johansen, and her husband, Arnold; the sister of Robert, David and Peter Hardwick, Patricia Cowhig, Anne Humphry and the late Donald Hardwick, Sr. and Jane Mace; the grandmother of Hannah Indrisano, Sam Cunha, Aaron Mace, Kerrie Mace, John Gemma, Jr., and Tiffany Cunha; the great grandmother of 5 great-grandchildren and the aunt of many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Hathorne Hill and Care Dimensions Hospice in Danvers for the care they provided to Elizabeth during this time.

Services are private and under the care of Eustis & Cornell of Marblehead. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research https://www.michaeljfox.org/ .
