Helen (Ingalls) Pappas, 90, of Salem, formerly of Marblehead, passed away at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers on August 3, 2012. She was the wife of the late George Pappas. Born in Marblehead, she was the daughter of the late Thomas W. and Julia (Barry) Ingalls. Helen was the director of the Peabody Institute Library for many years. She is survived by her children, Julie Chaimovich, and Linda Antonio both of Byfield, Leon Pappas of Salem, and Robert Pappas of Marblehead.
A private graveside service will be held in Our Lady Star of the Sea Cemetery, Marblehead later this week. Arrangements by the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, Marblehead.
