

Raised and educated in Marblehead, she was a graduate of Marblehead High School, class of 1964. Jackie was a very social person and enjoyed her years working as a waitress. First at the family business, Brown’s Bakery and Restaurant in Marblehead and later at Papa John’s in Swampscott and the Porthole in Lynn. She also loved animals especially her cat Gina. Jackie not only walked dogs for Creature Comforts in Marblehead, but wrote poems for their owners about their companions.
She is survived by her sister, Janice Henry and her husband Steven of Florida; sister-in-law, Anna Ranta of Maine; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Bradley Ranta.
A graveside service will be held at Waterside Cemetery, 294 West Shore Drive, Marblehead on Friday, September 21 at 11:00am. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Donations may be made in her memory to the Marblehead Animal Shelter, 44 Village Street, Marblehead, MA 01945. Arrangements by the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, Marblehead.
