Janet Leslie Griffin

MARBLEHEAD – Janet Leslie (Mehaffey) Griffin, age 91, of Lynn, formerly of Marblehead, passed away on April 16th at AdviniaCare,Salem. Janet was the beloved wife of the late Hugh L. Griffin with whom she shared over 40 years of marriage.

Born in Marblehead, Janet was the daughter of the late Frank and Edith (Bradshaw) Mehaffey. She graduated from Marblehead High School with the Class of 1937 and earned an Associate’s Degree from Fisher College in Boston. She worked as an executive secretary at Salem Hospital for many years prior to her retirement.

Janet was the mother of Kim L. Colbert and her husband, John of Lynn and Mark A. Griffin, Sr. and his wife, Marie of Sewall’s Point, Florida.; the grandmother of Mark Jr, Stephanie Marie and Mason Allen; and the great-grandmother of Georgianna Joy, Noah Elijah, Ellis Brave, and Rosalie Darling. She was predeceased by 3 siblings and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
