Raised and educated in Marblehead, John attended Marblehead High School. He was employed in the commercial flooring and carpeting industry for many years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and other outdoor activities.
In addition to his father, John is survived by two sons, Michael S. Goodwin of Salem, and Hunter O. Goodwin of Ipswich; two sisters, Robyn Foss of Athol, and Marianne Weeks of NH; and his aunt, Evelyn Washburne of Danvers. He was also the former husband of Lesilie Gaudet of Salem.
Visiting hours will be held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Thursday, February 23 from 4-7PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Cremation followed by burial in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
