She was born in Marblehead and attended Marblehead schools. She later developed a passion for dancing and performed in many shows and recitals with Florence and Ruth Bell of Marblehead. During the war, she also participated in USO shows and performed with, among others, Harpo Marks and the “Phillip Morris Bell Boy”. For many years, while assisting her parents, Marie was a foster parent, caring for children through Catholic Charities.
Her brothers, Benjamin Harris and Norman Harris, predeceased Marie and in addition to a niece and nephew, she leaves many great nieces and nephews along with the many friends and staff members at Marina Bay, whom she not only regarded as friends, but also really thought of as her family. All will surely miss her.
