Mary C. Conrad

Mary C. (Davidson) Conrad, 84, of Marblehead, passed away at the Devereux House on Tuesday, March 27, 2012. She was the wife of Retired Marblehead Firefighter Walter F. Conrad Sr. with whom she shared 65years of marriage. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Margaret (Maney) Davidson.

Raised and educated in Peabody, she was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School. Mary worked as a clerk for the General Electric Company and Ametek in Wilmington for many years well into her late seventies.

In addition to her husband, Mary is survived by three sons, Retired Marblehead Fire Captain Walter F. Conrad Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Marblehead, Paul G. Conrad of FL, and Mark F. Conrad and his wife Elaine of Danvers; one daughter, Elaine Ellers of FL; three brothers, Guy Davidson and his wife Anne of TX, Joseph Davidson and his wife Terry of FL, and Frank Davidson and his wife Midge of Danvers; two sisters, Jean Wentworth of Danvers, and Priscilla Giardino and her husband Nick of Franklin; 11 grandchildren, Jason, Paul Jr., Alyssa, Rachel, Carly, Brett, Kristin, Drew, Samantha, Heather, and Todd; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Bradley; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Paul and John Davidson.

A funeral service will be held in the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Saturday, April 7 at 11AM. Burial to follow in Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4-7PM.
