Mary J. Foley

Mary J. (Quigley) Foley, 85, formerly of Marblehead, died peacefully on July 8, 2011, in Pinehurst, NC. Beloved wife of the late Charles E. Foley, Jr. Devoted mother of Heilika Jordan of Aberdeen, NC, Charles E. Foley III and his wife Jane of Melrose, and Katherine I. Waitt and her husband Robert of Sebec, ME. Loving grandmother of Daniel Waitt of Sebec, ME, Richard Waitt of Colorado, and Julia Foley of Melrose. Beloved aunt of Marie McCullough of Hampton Bays, NY. Dear sister of the late Joseph A. Quigley and the late Elizabeth A. Marino. Mary lived in Marblehead for forty-five years and loved the ocean. She played piano and guitar, drew and painted, read poetry, and loved flamenco music and Native American culture. She attended many powwows in the area. A memorial mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, 85 Atlantic Avenue Marblehead on Tuesday, August 16 at 10AM followed by interment at Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead.
