Olga G. Stratouly, age 77, passed away on September 9, 2014 after a courageous four-year battle with colon cancer. She lived life fully even after her diagnosis and her positive attitude was admired by all.
Born in Woonsocket, RI, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Emil Kaskiw and Anna Kaskiw. She graduated from Boston University in 1958. Olga was a beloved and retired teacher, having taught third grade at the L.H. Coffin School in Marblehead for over 30 years.
Olga was the widow of Dennis Stratouly, mother of two, grandmother of seven, and great grandmother of two. She is deeply missed by her family, including her daughter Lisa Barshak and husband Joel of Bolton, son Donn Stratouly and wife Cynthia of Wilmington, grandsons Nicholas, Gregory and Jonathan Stratouly, granddaughters Julia, Elena and Jessica Barshak, Stephanie Perez and her husband Ernesto and their children Jaylen and Sofia. She is also missed by her dear friend Robert Haggerty of Norwich, Ct.
A memorial service will be held at the Eustis and Cornell Funeral Home, 142 Elm Street, Marblehead on Saturday, September 27 at 11AM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visitation will begin at 10AM.
