
MARBLEHEAD- Russell Pedrick Williams, Jr., 78, a lifelong Marbleheader, passed away on February 27th at the Lafayette House, Marblehead. Russell was the beloved husband of Mary (Wadsworth) Williams of Marblehead with whom he shared over 26 years of marriage.
Born in Marblehead, Russell was the son of the late Russell and Grace (McCarron) Williams. Russell attended Marblehead schools and enjoyed working as a long haul Truck Driver for Teamsters, Local 25 for many years. He also worked for the Town of Marblehead Board of Health in the Sanitation department for many years. He enjoyed traveling for work and pleasure on the road, especially throughout New Hampshire and Maine. He enjoyed animals and caring for his pets over the years, particularly his late cat, Abby. Most of all, though, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Russell was the devoted father of Russell J. Williams and his wife, Donna of Salem, Mark Williams of Florida and step-daughter Bonnie Sitomer and her husband, James of New Hampshire; the cherished grandfather of Jesse Williams of Salem, the late Joshua Williams and Rachel Sitomer of New Hampshire; the dear brother of Leeanne Tucker of Swampscott and the late John “Jack” Williams. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Russell’s graveside service will be held at Waterside Cemetery, Marblehead on Thursday, March 5th at 1:00 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend and to meet at 12:45 p.m. at the main gate of Waterside Cemetery, 294 West Shore Dr. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Russell’s name to Lafayette House Activities Fund, 25 Lafayette St., Marblehead, MA 01945.
