22 octobre 19249 septembre 2020

PEABODY—Theodore C. DiBlasi, age 95, passed away peacefully at his residence at Brooksby Village, on Wednesday, September 9, 2020. He was the beloved husband of Catherine (Pertin) DiBlasi, with whom he shared 74 years of devoted marriage.

Born in Corona, NY on October 22, 1924, he was a son of the late Alfred Albert and Elizabeth Lily (Erath) DiBlasi. Ted grew up in Queens, NY and graduated from Flushing High School. His college studies were interrupted by WWII, when he proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the Pacific Ocean Theater. Following his discharge, he completed his engineering degree at Manhattan College. Ted had a long career as a structural engineer in New York City and later in Greenvile, SC. Two projects he was particularly proud of were the Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC, and portions of Government Center in Boston, MA. Above all else though, Ted was a loving and involved father and grandfather. The time spent and memories made with his loved ones meant the world to him, and he loved nothing more than being surrounded by his large extended family.

Surviving Ted are his children, Elizabeth Campion, Aileen Tubridy and her husband David, Catherine Meany and her husband John, Mary DiBlasi-Crain and her husband Steven, Theresa Berkman and her husband Robert and his daughter-in-law Kathleen DiBlasi; his grandchildren, Vivian Desiderio and her husband Albert, Jennifer Way, Clare Wheadon and her husband Joseph, Maura Tubridy, Elizabeth Jones and her husband Jason, Erika Coletti and her husband Robert, Patrick Meany and his wife Ashley, Giselle Pugh and her husband Anthony, Jonathan DiBlasi and his wife Sarah, Theodore DiBlasi and his wife Lucy, Rebecca Baldwin and her husband John, Sarah Christensen and her husband Erin, Olivia Lublanecki and her husband Michael, Grace Berkman, and James Berkman; his great-grandchildren, Maggie, Victor, Vincent, Valen, Victoria, David, Theodore, Skylar, Dakota, Hunter, Maeve, Brynn, Eli, Calvin, Hudson, Porter, Noah, Finley, Julien; his great-great-grandchildren, Samuel and Joseph Theodore; his brother-in-law Leon Pertin, as well as many other dear relatives and friends.
