Carol Ruth Meyers

She was born September 14, 1929 in Eagle Lake, IL to Rev. Walter and Esther (Piehler) Vetter. Carol was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Marengo and loved singing in the choir. She enjoyed sewing and baking, as well as picking up a good mystery to read. Spending time with her grandchildren was always a priority. Carol was also a diehard Cubs fan.

Carol is survived by her children, Wendy (Richard) Kissick, Aimee Lange, David (Dianne) Olcott, and Jennifer “Jody” Fuchs; her 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and her two sisters, Gloria Nelson and Virginia (Alan) Miller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Meyers; her sons, Michael Olcott and Dennis Olcott; her parents; and her brothers, Eugene, Ronald, and Kenneth Vetter.

Visitation will be from 10:30am to 12:30pm on Wednesday, June 1 at Zion Lutheran Church, 408 Jackson St., Marengo. The service will be at 12:30pm.

Interment will be private.

Memorials may be made to the Zion Lutheran Adult Choir.
