Charlene was known for her stubborn streak, her honesty, and her fiercely protective nature. She cared deeply for the people in her life and showed it through support, loyalty, or taking care of the people she loved. She was a devoted mother, a steady friend, and someone whose presence made a room feel steadier.
She loved being a mom more than anything. In her earlier years, she built a career as a funeral director, a role she took pride in because it allowed her to help others through their hardest moments. Outside of work, she had a passion for travel, exploring new places, and indulging her love of true crime.
Charlene was a loving wife, and the loss of her husband, Jeff Wohlhart, was something she carried every day. Those who knew her find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with him and together again for the Christmas season they both loved.
She is survived by their daughters, Stephanie and Tiffany; her sister-in-law Dawn Harling and Dawn’s husband Bob; and many friends, including Joe Page, who were an important part of her life.
A memorial service will be held on January 31, 2026, at 12:00 PM at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in St. Charles, Illinois.
