She was born May 26, 1932 in Chicago to Matthew and Dorothy (Wieczorek) Baranski. On July 5, 1952 she married Lionel DeGrand.
Connie's focus was always on her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her favorite thing to do was cook for her family. She also enjoyed crafting, knitting, and reading.
She is survived by her children, Gail (Howard) Andrews, Lionel (Wendy) DeGrand Jr., Mark (Sandra) DeGrand, and Roger (Vicki) DeGrand; four grandchildren, Bethany (Danny), Kristin (Steven), Maggie, and Stephanie (Max); two great-grandchild, Madelynne and Esmae; and her sister-in-law, Geraldine Baranski.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel; her parents; her grandchildren, Lauren and Richie; and her brothers, Richard and Raymond Baranski.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6pm on Sunday, August 26 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Monday, August 27 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 323 N. Taylor St., Marengo. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
