She was born October 30, 1953 in Chicago to Kenneth and Mary (Steck) Schreiber. On August 5, 2000 she married Theodore “Ted” Oberg.
Donna loved her job as the Assistant Superintendent of Financial Services for the Geneva School District, she also worked at Marengo-Union District 165, Grayslake, and St. Charles District 303. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, and shopping. She also liked to travel. The most important thing to her though was her family. She loved spending time with them and attending all her grandchildren’s activities.
She is survived by her husband, Ted; her children, Salvatore “Sam” Vazzano, Andrea (Cody Melichar) Vazzano, Shawna (Michael) Zont; her stepchildren, Scott (Megan) Oberg, Sarah (Barry) McDonald, Lisa (Drew) Keefe; her grandchildren, Gracie, Samantha, Hunter, Peyton, Miley, Helenna, Zoe, Max, Finn, Sophia, Evan, Ellie, Austin, and Otto; her siblings, Karen (Horst) Schubert, Paul (Sue) Schreiber, Kenneth Schreiber, and Mary (Phil) Drogos.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sue (Dave) Rizzo.
There will be a visitation from 3 to 8pm on Friday, August 24 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. There will be a funeral Mass at 11am on Saturday, August 25, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 323 N. Taylor St., Marengo.
Interment will be in Riley Cemetery.
