Frank E. Gerger, 90, of Marengo, Illinois passed away on April 14, 2022. Frank was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 9, 1931 to John and Sophie Gerger. From 1954 to 1956, Frank served his country in the United States Navy. Frank married Barbara Hutten-Kraft in August of 1988. Frank was a hard worker and had many occupations throughout his life, his favorite being with Commonwealth Edison as a foreman. Frank enjoyed staying busy and was always looking for his next “do it yourself project”. He could fix anything with enough time. Along with his love of fixing things he loved cars, planes, ships, and trains.
Frank is survived by his wife, Barbara Gerger; children, Michael, Steven, and Kimberly; step-children, Michael, Arthur, and Jeffrey; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Brad; and his siblings, John, Leonard, Rose and Ann.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 23 at 10am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marengo, IL.
