

He was born April 28, 1932 in Hampshire to Herbert and Cora (Miller) Krause. Lyle was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during the Korean War.
Lyle worked at Arnold Engineering and as a photographer for Accident Investigation in McHenry County. He was a member of the Union American Legion. Lyle enjoyed going to breakfast with his brother and riding his bike around town. He also liked to watch history and sci-fi movies and read. Most of all he loved taking care of his beloved cats.
He is survived by his sister, Darlene Larson of Noblesville, IN; his brother, Gene (Gloria) Krause of Union; his nieces and nephews, Tracie Krause, Tamera (Michael) Bihlmaier, Debra (William) Reich, Gene (Kristy) Krause Jr., and Craig (Erin) Ocock; and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Marilyn Ocock; and his brother-in-law, James Larson.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7pm on Monday, November 24 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. Interment will be private.
