Robert (Bob), 88 died on Nov. 25, 2025, with family by his side. Born on March 24, 1936, to Arthur Sr. & Martha (Markison) Polnow in Woodstock, IL. He lived most of his adult life in Marengo, IL. He married Bernice (Weidner) June 15, 1957, at Zion Lutheran Church, Marengo, IL. Bob served in the U.S. Army. He worked at Arnold Engineering for 37 until 2002. His pastimes upon retiring were keeping a beautiful lawn and tinkering or repairing anything that needed fixing. He was a wealth of Marengo, IL history, detailing exactly where people and businesses were with his nephew Brad and his wife Anna for hours on end.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; wife Bernice (2021); and brother Arthur Jr. (2021).
He is survived by his sister, Carol Reinert; brother-in-law Larry (Judy) Weidner; and numerous nieces & nephews. There will be no visitation. He will be laid to rest in Marengo City Cemetery, Marengo, IL.
