Robert K. Ulsaver

He was born June 1, 1932 in Elgin to Kenneth and Letha (Trumbo) Ulsaver. On April 21, 1974 he married Carole Klubertanz in Cary.

Bob was one of the first five employees hired at U.S. Can, he worked there for many years before retiring. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and feeding the birds. He loved taking leisurely drives with his wife as they enjoyed just taking in the scenery and being together. He also took great interest in American history, including his Cherokee background. A trip to see Chief Blackhawk on the Rock River was always a great day.

He is survived by his wife, Carole; his children, Barb (Dave) Glover, Cindy Ulsaver, Guy (Stacy) Ulsaver, Troy Ulsaver, Robert (Jennifer) Evans, William Evans, and Vince (Pam) Evans; many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his sister, June Fillmore.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Sharon Ulsaver.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8pm on Thursday, February 12 at Marengo-Union Funeral Home, 505 E. Grant Hwy., Marengo. Visitation will continue from 10 to 11am at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Harmony, 11821 E. Grant Hwy., Hampshire. The service will be at 11am.

Interment will be private.
